WELCOME
Welcome to our parish website, here at St Vincent de Paul we strive to unit our local community in our weekly masses as well as the many services we provide through our ministries. Our parish comes under the Diocese of Brentwood, led by our Bishop, The Rt Rev Alan Williams.
Saint Vincent’s Catholic Primary school is also part of our parish. If you would like to know more about the deep and vibrant history of our Patron Saint, Church and Catholic faith, please select the HISTORY tab on the top menu screen. There is also our NEWSLETTER, CALENDAR and EVENTS section where you can find the latest updates, you may also wish to DONATE to our Parish.
People visit St Vincent, Becontree, for its rich historical and spiritual significance. As the first Catholic place of worship on the Becontree Estate, it holds a unique place in the history of the Catholic Church in the area. The church played a foundational role in establishing the Catholic community in Becontree and Dagenham, serving as the "mother parish" for several other parishes in the region.

WEEKDAY MASS

Reflection of Readings - Sunday 12th April. Divine Mercy Sunday Year A.
Divine Mercy Sunday, celebrated on the Sunday after Easter, is a major Catholic feast focusing on God's mercy. It highlights the divine mercy and forgiveness available to all through the Paschal Mystery, offering a fresh start likened to baptismal grace.
Instituted by Pope John Paul II, it offers plenary indulgence (complete forgiveness of sins and punishment) for those who go to Confession and receive Holy Communion in a state of grace. The feast is based on the revelations of St. Faustina Kowalska, a Polish nun who, in the 1930s, received messages from Jesus about his desire for this feast to be celebrated.
